Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

The short version. Wayfare keeps your travel documents on your phone. We have no account system, we do not upload your documents to a server, and we do not track you or sell your data.

1. Who we are

Wayfare ("we", "us", or "the app") is a travel document organizer for iOS. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Wayfare. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

2. What stays on your device

Everything you put into Wayfare stays on your phone. This includes:

  • The documents you import, such as passports, visas, boarding passes, hotel bookings, insurance, and IDs.
  • The trips you create and the details you add to them, such as dates and destinations.
  • Your settings and preferences, including the answers you give during onboarding.

We do not have a copy of any of this. It is stored in the app's private storage on your device. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it, so keep your own backups of anything important.

3. Information we do not collect

Wayfare does not require an account, an email address, or a sign-up. We do not collect your name, your contacts, your location, or analytics about how you tap through the app. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking software.

4. Subscriptions and the App Store

Wayfare offers a paid subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and subscription status is managed for us by RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. To confirm whether you have an active subscription, the app shares a randomly generated, anonymous identifier with RevenueCat along with the purchase receipt that Apple provides. This lets the app know whether to unlock the app. It does not contain your name and it is not linked to the documents you store.

You can read RevenueCat's privacy practices on their website, and Apple's handling of payments is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, Wayfare schedules reminders on your device, such as a nudge to add documents before a trip or a warning that a passport is close to expiring. These reminders are generated on your phone. We do not send push messages from a server and we cannot see them.

6. Exporting a backup

If you choose to export a document or a trip, the file is saved through your device's own share sheet to a destination you pick, such as iCloud Drive or Files. That destination is governed by Apple or by whichever service you choose, not by us. We never receive a copy.

7. Children

Wayfare is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app stores everything locally and collects no personal data, parents who let family members use the app keep full control of the documents on the device.

8. Your control

You can delete any document or trip from within the app at any time. You can turn Face ID protection and notifications on or off in Settings. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data from your device.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top and, where the change is significant, note it in the app. Continuing to use Wayfare after an update means you accept the revised policy.

10. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@revisit.gallery.
